22,000 people are expected to have been wiped out by tidal waves and earthquake damage and I feel like a terrible person because I’m hurting less over it than when America lost several thousand people on Sept 11th. I like to think I’m Internationally Focused and aware and caring and sensitive, but I guess not when it counts. Do I need 24/7 coverage of damage reports and death tolls to make it real?

At the very least, I can donate to the International Response fund through the American Red Cross.
