Timestamps and Weblogs

Monday, December 27 2004

Paul says:

Observation: a weblog without timestamps is like a bicycle without tires. Sure, it sorta looks like a bike—you could even try to ride it—but it would end up being an exercise in frustration.

I’ll take the observation one step further and suggest that weblogs without timestamps aren’t weblogs*.

  • By saying this, I break my own rules with digitalslr.org because it has no timestamps. At first it was because I didn’t like the look of the formatting on the timestamps, and took them off until I could redo them, but now I just haven’t gotten around to posting and not having timestamps doesn’t make that as obvious (shame on me).
